I've totally lost interest in this election campaign. They're not talking to me, they're speaking to the ignorant and the fearful. They deserve only my contempt, but what alternative do I have?

I've decided to apply for the green card lottery when it opens later this year. If I've got emigration options (already have the EU passport) then I can more easily escape this blind, direction-less country.
